How is adult ADHD diagnosed?
Through a detailed clinical interview covering childhood and current symptoms, validated rating scales (e.g. DIVA-5, ASRS), and where helpful, informant input. There is no single blood test or scan for ADHD.
How many sessions does the assessment take?
Typically 1–2 sessions of 60–90 minutes, plus a written report summarising findings and recommendations.
Can you prescribe ADHD medication in the UAE?
Yes, where clinically appropriate. Stimulant and non-stimulant options are regulated in the UAE and we'll explain what's available and suitable for you.
Do you assess children as well as adults?
We assess adolescents (13+) and adults. For younger children we can refer you to trusted paediatric colleagues.
