Adult ADHD: When Is an Assessment Worth Considering?
This short educational video explains when adult ADHD assessment may be worth considering, without turning common symptoms into a self-diagnosis.
Transcript and summary
“ADHD in adults doesn’t always look like being hyperactive. You may struggle to finish tasks, procrastinate until deadlines become urgent, lose track of appointments or belongings, or feel overwhelmed trying to organize everyday life. These symptoms can have many causes, so having some of them doesn’t necessarily mean you have ADHD. But if they’re persistent and affecting your daily life, a professional assessment may be worth considering.”
Stress, anxiety, sleep problems and other medical or mental health conditions can produce similar difficulties with attention, motivation, memory and organization. This page is educational and is not a self-diagnosis tool.
